Nice. I’m also closely following Alek Sklaratos in Oregon CD-4 and John James for Senate in Michigan. Think we might snag a few flips.
I sent Owens a few bucks after hearing him on Hannity. He’s well spoken and intelligent. (Conservative). ;)
The total is 70 percent. 30 percent is up for grabs I guess. Polling is a mess I believe everywhere.
If the Dems keep the mail in ballots coming Burgess does not hava a chance.
I hope Burgess wins. From what I’ve heard, he’s a pretty strong Republican.
This is Utah not California.
Burgess will win. He has all the momentum. The seat was held by Republicans before the last elections anyway.
Hes an impressive guy. Im pulling for him big time
An incumbent that has 30% undecided this late is a sure loser. Owens will win easily.
Unfortunately, it’s in Utah, where some Mormons still abide by the idea that the curse of Cain was a changed colour skin.
Burghess’s campaign has talked to me a couple of times. They are getting heavily attacked for something he didn’t say-—about reviving nuke testing in UT. He said something to the effect that they could resume safe nuclear production there.
Still, I think he’ll win this one. This is one we will have to win to get back the House, plus, I think
NM2
three more CA seats (hold CA25)
hold WI7
win two in TX
OK5
flip at least one in NY, NJ, IL, and MI
one in FL
one in NC
one in VA
Then we’re going to have to find five more.
The Central NY Congressional seat will be flipped.
So, when do you think Mittwitt will endorse Ben McAdams? /s
White Mormon guilt will elect Burgess. Same reason they elected Mia in the district. Her failure to support Trump is why she lost. Little Ben is a wimp.
I hope you’re right, because he comes across well in interviews that I’ve heard.
We have had mail-n voting for several years now here in Washington State. My experience is that these district races are on the up and up. But when it get s to the statewide races for Governor and US Senate is where the “just found another box of ballots” shenanigans really begins.
But then I reside in a conservative district and the County Auditor is fair minded.
A friend is on the Owens campaign. We’ve had several discussions about the “why” Owens will win. Mainly it’s because he converted to the Mormon Church. That district is in an area that is commonly referred to as “happy valley”, meaning that it’s full of true believers as opposed to the lefty filled Salt Lake Valley.
Unusual to see correct English these days!
Well; it IS found in their Scriptures
In December 2010, the LDS Church made changes to the non-canonical chapter summaries and also to some of the footnotes in its online version of the Book of Mormon. In Second Nephi chapter 5, the original wording was: "Because of their unbelief, the Lamanites are cursed, receive a skin of blackness, and become a scourge unto the Nephites."
The phrase, "skin of blackness" was removed and became: "Because of their unbelief, the Lamanites are cut off from the presence of the Lord, are cursed, and become a scourge unto the Nephites."[26]
The second change appears in summary of Mormon chapter 5. Formerly, it included the phrase that "the Lamanites shall be a dark, filthy, and loathsome people ..." The new version deleted the phrase "dark, loathsome, and filthy" and now reads, "... the Lamanites will be scattered, and the Spirit will cease to strive with them."[26][27]
These changes are seen by some critics to be another step in the evolution of the text of the Book of Mormon to delete racist language from it.[26] On the other hand, some believers in the Book of Mormon, such as Marvin Perkins, see these changes as better conforming the chapter headers and footnotes to the meaning of the text in light of the LDS Church's 1978 Revelation on Priesthood.[28] In an interview, a former BYU graduate student suggested that the changes were made for "clarity, a change in emphasis and to stick closer to the scriptural language."[26]

At least the changes were not to the actual TEXT of the most 'correct book' ever: the Book of MORMON
