Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus task force coordinator, said the US is in a “new phase” of the pandemic – with the outbreak more widespread than when it first swept across the US, according to a report.
“What we are seeing today is different from March and April. It is extraordinarily widespread. It’s into the rural as equal urban areas,” Birx said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
She urged Americans to follow public health recommendations, including wearing a mask and practicing social distancing.

Why are we the only country in the world with a new “phase”???? I am sick of this bitch.
People are going about their lives and infections are rising. People in nursing homes and with co-morbidities need to protect themselves.
Great! Herd immunity around the corner for a disease that > 99% of people have mild or self limited disease
So I guess we can finally get back to normal in about 70 days just like Italy did

Imagine a wildfire with a strong wind with plenty of dry wood. We are the dry wood. Masks are not going to stop a wildfire.
Because all the people who would have contracted the disease and gotten over it were in lockdown.
The “new phase” is those people finally getting it when they should have gotten it and gotten over it by now.

I’d like to know what it is about this illness that makes it so much more fear inducing than previous viruses. There is a variable here that hasn’t been defined.

Its a new phase because its being planted. None of this, from day one last Dec-Jan is an accident. The controllers of the epidemic are stepping it up.
