Former Clinton White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart told CNN on Saturday that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden should not debate President Donald Trump because Biden gives Trump a bigger stage, and it will help Trump in the election.

I don't know about that. Trump debating pre-1994 Biden might be tricky. After all, he'd be debating a pro-gun, pro-life, anti-Affirmative Action, pro-law-and-order moderate-conservative.

That, but then it has the double effect of trying to put expectations so very low that even a stumbling performance by Biden can be spun as a major success by the “expert panels” after the debates.

It gives Trump a “bigger stage?” Bigger than being POTUS, bigger than his Tweets, bigger than the utterly obsessive coverage by the entire news media? BS.
What Lockhart is really worried about is that Biden will be made to look like what he is: a not-so-bright guy on the best day of his life, who is presently WELL over the hill mentally and declining at an ever-increasing pace. He’s worried that the truth will come out in front of 60 million people, and that Trump will win 450 EVs and 60% of the popular vote.
How long before Trump tweets a comment about this interview?
The best way for Joe Biden to set aside all the talk about his decaying mental ability would be to have Joe make a forceful speech and take a dozen questions from the press pool and give crisp articulate answers. His handlers don’t dare allow him to do this, a de facto acknowledgement of Joe’s disability.
They snuck a complete unknown into the Oval Office in 2008.
They figure they can sneak in Perv Joe and whatever Communist of color the Democrat Party selects as his running mate.
I think, if in some alternate reality, where I was a Democrat, I’d be suggesting that the party replace Biden with someone else. Of course, given the previous candidates, and the reason everyone got behind Biden, I don’t know who that new candidate would be. Of the group, Joe was the sanest, most electable. That doesn’t say much as Biden is apparently a hair sniffing pedophile who has used his time in office making him and his family rich at taxpayer expense. Yet, he was still the most electable. Go figure.
Probably what the Democrats should do is randomly select someone. I have a feeling that any random person off the street would have been superior to any of the candidates seen in the primaries.
The DEMs can put *anyone* on the ticket, and I do mean *ANYONE*, and Trump still wouldn't get close to those numbers. He won''t surpass 375 EVs, and he won't surpass 53% of the popular vote. There are just too many states that are far left to be salvaged at this point. Biden is a lock for 160 EVs just by putting his name on the ballot.
Neither side should be chomping at the bits to “debate” the other. There’s little to be gained and a lot to lose for both.

If Biden rejects any of the moderators watch out for them to have a fit meanwhile back in 2008 Barack Obama refused to participate in the Fox News coordinated debate in the democrat primary
For all of Trump's weaknesses and I can't think of any, he has been for the USA 100% . I can't ask for anything more.

I do hope that the The Squad (the informal name for a group of four women elected in the 2018 United States House of Representatives elections, made up of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan) will disappear from our media and continue to destroy their own voters' neighborhoods.
