A man who lost his leg in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing ripped the decision of an appellate court Friday to toss the the death sentence and overturn three of the convictions of terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
“It’s ridiculous,” Marc Fucarile said when asked about the ruling on the local Boston WEEI radio show “Ordway, Merloni and Fauria.”
Fucarile — who lost his right leg during the second of two finish-line explosions that killed three and left more than 260 wounded in April 2013 — said the case should be clear cut.
“The guy did this. Put him to rest,” Fucarile said of Tsarnaev, 27, who will now receive a new penalty-phase trial to decide whether he should be executed over the bombings.
“It really is that simple and anybody who says ‘no its not that simple …’ No. It is,” Fucarile continued. “He did this, he said he did this to all these people. Put him to rest, bury him, put him under the jail.”
The decision not only affects all of the bombing victims, but their families as well, Fucarile said.
“Its not fair to these people and the family members.”
Fucarile described how his 12-year-old son, who was 5 at the time of the attacks, will sometimes burst into tears when thinking about the injuries his father sustained.
“My son cries out of nowhere sometimes [and says] ‘I want him dead … the guy that hurt you … he screwed up your life. He changed you.'”
“I said ‘Gavin, I’m not changed buddy … [but] the pain I’m in all the time, it limits my patience and I work on that, I try,” Fucarile said.
Fucarile’s own father is “beside himself.”
“Not being able to protect me. If someone hurts your kid, your family, you want him dead …,” he said.
“And all these people are doing to protect [Tsarnaev]. It’s a joke.

Can the appellate court’s horrible decision be appealed to a higher court, like the Supreme Court?
Is the bomber still receiving love letters?

And today’s liberals in general have a soft spot for Muslim extremists. Say what you want about FDR. But were he calling the shots, Tsarnaev would have been executed six years ago.

I wasn’t sure, so I looked it up. This latest ruling came from a federal appellate court. So I think any appeal would go to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Well at least they haven’t released Tsarnaev for fear of him dying from a Covid infection.

A Judge errors, and all the victims suffer from that error. These Judges need to be held accountable for their failures. There should be a 3-strike rule for these morons. You f*ck up a trial three times, and you’re done. In reality, they shouldn’t even get 3-strikes. Look what that f-ing Judge Sullivan has done to the Federal judicial system. That guy should have been gone after he attacked General Flynn in the courtroom.

That is a sign of abuse. The child should not even be aware of the pain of the Father, which must be mostly mental after healing. It seems to me that Dad must be a whiner. The mark of a true man or woman is the ability to move on and rise above this injury. A child SHOULD NOT BE A PART of these mental issues.
Again as a female conservative, I say the womyn vote should be overturned. That’s about 85% of Demonrats in one fell swoop. So you lose about 15% of the C/R real women vote. Could make that up easily by properly educating young males.

No kidding, my dad lost his leg in a motorcycle accident and it hurt me plenty to see my hero suffer. What a crap thing to say about a guy with one leg. Makes me fighting mad. Enough.
