Maryland expands mask-wearing requirements to all indoor public spaces

Maryland has expanded its mask-wearing rules as the number of coronavirus cases in the state rise.

On Wednesday, Gov. Larry Hogan issued orders that require anyone older than age 5 to wear a face-covering in all indoor public areas of businesses and buildings.

That includes churches, offices and restaurants. Masks will also be required in outdoor spaces when it is not possible to maintain social distancing.

The order takes effect on Friday at 5 p.m.

At a news conference, Hogan said the new rules are “fact-based, apolitical and solidly grounded in science,” according to The Baltimore Sun.

“While it can be an inconvenience, especially in the heat, wearing a mask is the single best mitigation strategy that we have to fight the virus,” Hogan added.

As of Wednesday, Maryland had 86,285 coronavirus cases. According to the state’s website, that’s an increase of 761 cases in a 24-hour period.

Not exactly sure what this changes.

I also read that Hogan said he will NOT use state resources to enforce this.

Since Hogan is not complying with the US or State constitutions, I’m not complying with his illegal orders.

He calls his orders “law.” Yet, teh House and senate did not introduce a bill, debate, vote and pass the bill to present it to the Governor for his signature. Thus, it’s nothing but words.

Proving there is not a whit of difference between Republican Larry Hogan and my left-wing a-hole Democrat Governor here in Pennsylvania.

He has a task force of “professionals” advising him yet when he’s asked to provide the minutes of the meetings of this government commission, we are told they are not a government committee and thus the meetings are private.

Here’s the really cool one. The fine print of his illegal executive order, it does not apply to the only people his executive orders apply to...Government employees.

Fauxgan has already indicated that his Presidential vote is in the air, and he certainly understands the notion of the Lockdown-Riots misery index making it more likely that average, less-informed people will vote for Biden. Soooo, I can only infer from never-Trumper Hogan keeping our economy at Phase II while expanding the mask requirement that he is indeed leaning toward Biden.

JMO.

The lovely Ms. Ingraham went off on him and Northam last night, BTW.

Maryland “Freak State” PING!

*** “Not exactly sure what this changes” ***
It means that Government can TELL you anything they want and THEN Enforce it, Fine or Incarcerate You.
If you do not comply... You are a Criminal with a Criminal Record that WILL be used against you.

I’d have Governor D*ckhead open to Phase III, then, if a special session of the legislature doesn’t approve the light regulatory footprint of Phase III, then open it all the way up.

Heck at certain places in China they're testing five people at a clip, swabs are coupled together as that and if just one person proves positive all five have to be quarantined!

And people allow it.

The legislature has remained silent, with the exception of three who are part of a federal lawsuit against lockdown larry.

They are more useless than ever.

Maryland has hit the original goals for full open, but Larry knows better than us and keeps moving the goalposts.

Remember that Mitt Romney was a “republican” governor of Massive2schiffs.
