Cornyn, who is facing Democrat MJ Hegar in his bid for a fourth term, played down the presidents trial balloon as mischievousness so all you guys in the press, your heads will explode.
Cruz rejected the idea. Election fraud is a serious problem. We need to fight it and stop it, he said. But no, the election should not be delayed.
Abbotts spokesman, John Wittman, sidestepped whether Trumps idea is a good one but said: Texas has adopted procedures and guidelines to ensure safe and fair elections,

Trump is smartly using the delay the vote comment to counter the vote by mail push. Pure genius, and bold.

Part of Amanda Carpenter’s twitter feed.
Before it was erased it had lots of juicy tidbits.
One of my favorites is the picture of her in the bathroom at Fox while Ted is on set, with matching fake tattoos.
Yep, that’s the one, I had forgotten about the jacket.
I had not seen that youtube, thanks.

I guess nobody saw the question mark at the end of President Trumps tweet. Changes the whole meaning. Then again, hatred blinds someone from seeing the obvious.
Trump made the statement as a ploy to draw the Dems into a frenzy to reveal what fools they are and how much they don’t know about the Constitution. Changing election laws requires an act of Congress. These media clowns should have realized this was a no-go statement.
“Oddly enough, Cornyn, the moderate, understood that the President was trolling the Left, while Cruz, the conservative, missed the point.”
Cruz seems to miss a LOT of important points (even if he gets most of them right), such as thinking Skunk Cabbage would have been a president than Trump. Back in 2016, the ONLY THING that I worried about was our courts. If SK had won, the Supreme Court, with its open seat, would have turned hard-left (and sorry purists - today’s Supreme Court is nowhere near far-left today - get off it, please), and the lower courts were mostly already there.
As I see it, if half of the country cannot get justice, or even fair voting, that pretty much ends things as a peaceful society.
Cruz, the ‘Constitutional Scholar’ simply wasn’t able to comprehend that.
Unfortunately I will have to hold my nose and vote for him.
Ted fell for it and so did Turtle. It was meant as RAT bait...Oh wait.....the usual GOP bloviators that think they have a chance commit epic fail and show their dirty underpants.
