Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It works on bacteria. Bacteria ONLY. It has zero ability to kill or inactivate viruses. no antibiotic does. Not true:

That does not mean that azithromycin is effective against COVID-19. My point was that antibiotics are not effective at killing viruses. Inducing some kind of an Antiviral response in human cells is not the same as killing viruses, thats different. READ WHAT I WROTE. That article does not invalidate what I said. Just because taking Azithromycin causes a reaction in human cells that somehow block a virus from replication or invading target cells, is not the same as killing them in an anti-biotic fashion.
