Attorney General William Barr’s seemingly interminable testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday demonstrated two things. First, AG Barr is the most patient and unflappable man in Alpha Centauri. Second, his would-be inquisitors in the Democratic party have succumbed to a virus far more toxic than the Wuhan flu.
Political epidemiologists who identify the virus as Trump Derangement Syndrome are not quite right in their diagnosis. To be sure, TDS is a common comorbidity that renders this new infection more virulent and debilitating. But the nervous disorder on view yesterday, while it presupposes tertiary Trump Derangement Syndrome, is actually distinct from that malady. I am not sure that public health officials have yet settled on a name for the sickness. Yet like the end stages of rabies, everyone can recognize its appalling symptoms.
The world saw a violent outbreak of the disease during the confirmation hearings for Judge, now Justice Brett Kavanaugh (how I like writing ‘Justice Brett Kavanaugh’). To laymen, it looks a bit like Tourette’s syndrome: uncontrollable nervous tics, inappropriate verbal outbursts, shocking disregard of mannerly behavior, et cetera. The breathtaking savagery of the attack on Brett Kavanaugh, combined with its utter baselessness, will stand forever as a defining case in the annals of political pathology. The treatment of Attorney General Barr by the Democrats will take its place beside that disgraceful episode.

As AG Barr noted in his opening statement, the most basic job of government is to preserve the rule of law. The rule of law holds sway only when it is impartially applied. Mob violence has no place in a country governed by the rule of law, but mob violence is now sweeping the country. The Democrats refuse to acknowledge this, describing the mayhem and looting as ‘peaceful protests’, lawful exercises of the public’s First Amendment rights.
I hope that fat *”** drops dead of a very painful heart attack.

Jim Jordan had it spot on. They are trying to destroy him, because they want to minimize the effect of any investigation into the FBI’s spying and any indictments the DOJ may bring on those who hijacked the intelligence community in the attempt to rig the election for Hillary.
But the Democrats on the committee acted despicably. As AG Barr himself finally said, exasperatedly, “I thought the purpose of a hearing was so that you can hear my answers”. Almost the entirety of the hearing, from the Dem questioners, was just steamrolling him. A few of them even answered the questions for him by saying things like “the correct answer is...” He was not there for anything other than political bullying and grandstanding for the member’s election campaigns and coverage on the local news clips.

He’s probably the single most deadly man in Congress, having spread diabetes across the land with his crappy ice cream. We left a Carvel “ice cream” cake out all night once, it never melted. Never bought it again. His diabetes empire may be responsible for a lot of covid related deaths.
When Barr was told he could not take a break he should have immediately said, “ You are welcome to hold me in contempt, but I will be back in 5 minutes.” We all hold these “democrats” in contempt.
We shouldn’t wonder why Congress can’t get anything done...
Bewildering? C’mon,man! It was a taxpayer funded Rat Party campaign ad broadcast nationwide.
They used to be able to come together.
Not anymore. Ever since November 2016 (and before) they have been singularly focused on destroying the POTUS by any means necessary.
Not a single elected Democrat, other than Clinton and Obama, attended his inauguration. And not 20 minutes after the inauguration did the calls for his impeachment begin. They have become the party of destruction and ruin... as we can see in many of the cities controlled by their party.
And I’m done with the pretense of the mayors and governors being independent from the party. They all speak from the same centrally generated talking points memo - there are many videos you can see mocking the various Democrats using the exact same phrases from across the land and on every channel that would let them speak.
I think it started under the Reagan administration and got progressively worse year after year beginning in 2001.
Carter was there as well so all living former Democrat presidents attended. Bush senior wasn't there but then again he was 92 and in poor health. A lot of Democrats from the House and Senate attended but a bunch did not, something like 70 boycotted it.
The pasty-faced punk is having trouble with his own bowel control and he refuses a fellow human relief when Nature puts on the pressure?

Barr should have just stood up and asked if the fat little toad was going to try and stop him.
To them, orange man bad isn’t as dangerous as “I believe the President was spied on” AG Barr.
