Is this about the tenth time the Swill had covered this?

As of those folks were EVER on our side.

Big surprise that Bush cronies want senile and corrupt Biden to win over President Trump. They are all worthless and corrupt scumbags. They hate Trump because he ended their fleecing the American tax payer's.

These dummies don’t remember that the Dims and press treated Dubya almost as bad as they are treating Trump? The only Republicans those people treat with any respect are out of power and unlikely ever to be back in power. I heard one liberal who claimed to be a Christian pastor say Dubya was another Herod, a baby killer. And Bush just took it, never defending himself. Yeah, that’s real “dignity.”

And Bush just took it, never defending himself”

Bush’s problem was that his policies were disastrous, not that he didn’t defend those policies

As Trump says, invading Iraq was one of the stupidest foreign policy moves in US history

Bush’s open borders policies were next to criminal

He also helped create the housing bubble - and the depression of 2008 - by
a program of subsidizing mortgages for minorities with bad credit. Bush and Rove thought this could buy them votes

Bush’s problem was indefensible policies, not the way he did or didn’t try to defend them

“It has to start in the House.”

This could start off Madison Cawthorn’s career (Mark Meadows old seat and MY district) with a bang.

*** The idea that we should go around the world invading and “liberating” countries with governments that we don’t like, is insanity. But that was the Bush doctrine, supported by many, many Freepers ***

The doctrine is alive, well, and supported by many FReepers.

Yeah, I guess it’s an uphill battle.

But perhaps one worth fighting for.

I guess it would! And I love his name; it sounds very old-fashioned, dignified and stately.

“Hundreds”? U-huh... I don’t think GWB has that many political allies much less administrative alums who also have a bone-to-pick with DJT. After all, the junior & mid-level republicans want to work in government. Only the senior level oldsters really have a potential axe to grind.

Yet in some key areas, such as Iraq, SCOTUS, Fed.gov entitlements and social engineering, he really was a pure deep-state puppet.

Not a conservative republican as it turns out. More like an alt-Democrat.

Why, after 9/11, didn’t we invest in fuel right here at home....?

Because the technology had not been invented yet. Shale oil had been known by the industry, and I remember discussions as early as 1984. Those discussions usually ended with, “Yes, but how do we get it out?”.

Thank you so much for your well-reasoned response. That really makes a lot of sense.
