They still belong to very conservative states such as Texas. For one can always pick and choose. The state is letting it happen. The state of Texas is letting it happen
And shame on them for that. I'm assuming Abbott doesn't want to tell the cities what they should do, but while he's holding back, his reputation is being besmirched by the liberals. He's damned if he does, and he's damned if he doesn't, but I'd rather err on the side of law and order every day. He took an oath too, and shouldn't be seen as ignoring it like the Democrats in those cities are doing.
