Exactly. These are professional agitators, no doubt being bankrolled by Soros Inc!

Oakley, Wiley X, EES and others all make laser safe sunglasses.
To: ProtectOurFreedom
$125 per pair of sunglasses. That would buy a lot of live ammunition per officer.
I doubt if these cost more than 5 bucks.

My idea of effectiveness is tracing these clowns down with drones, grabbing their butts, and sending them away for about 40 years.

We have the technology. Must be kept in a locked safe tho.

Fine, Schmine. They did permanent eye damage to some of those officers.

Just because a mfg makes sunglasses doesnt mean they are safe for eye protection from lasers. The headline is stupid. The article was clear. The purchase was for laser PPE

It’s from Willamette Week, what were you expecting?

Collimated light will focus to a tight spot on the retina resulting in an injury. Does not require the energy that an industrial laser requires to cut materials. Likely Antifa are using the green laser pointers implicated in prior attacks upon pilots of commercial aircraft.

That makes sense. Many thanks.

The problem is identifying the location of the source. A laser beam is invisible unless it passes through a medium like smoke. During the Iraq war, the military developed a system for automatically returning fire (with extreme prejudice) based on locating the muzzle blast by sound. Has the military solved the problem of tracking laser fire?

Anarchists use green pen-lasers to permanently blind officers.
Officers should use M-4 mounted red lasers and return light with lead.
