The attacks on Sandmann was a pivotal point for me. (I know, everything the left does is an outrage).
I still laugh when I remember how a Freeper referred to Native American Nathan Phillips, army refrigerator mechanic, as “”Saving Private Freon”.
It’s a both sad & dark day in this country when a teenage citizen must have security to protect him from...those fellow citizens who would kill him because he stood up to them.
Regarding CNN and Washington Post from the song by America:

The media has made Nick a very rich young man. Ignorant a$$holes got what they deserved.
He’ll have no problem getting laid.
Since CNN and WaPo settled, they must have paid dearly, but how much?
Must be a gag order on revealing the actual payouts to the public!
That should be required as part of the settlement agreement. Unfortunately, most of what is paid out will be covered by the Compost's insurance carrier.

Here's a bit of history for the young 'uns about the Washington Post, fabricated stories, Pulitzer prize, and a POC reporter by the name of Janet Cooke.

So about 40 years later, have suffered public humiliation, the WAPO ran an unsubstantiated story libeling young Nick Sandman.
And then there's the NYT, which to this day lionizes their Communist tool, reporter Walter Duranty, who unashamedly published Stalin's lies about the Ukrainian genocide.
Ever notice how WAPO, VOPO, the East German Police, and GESTAPO sound alike...it's because they are.

He is going to be a very popular young man in college.
Mr. Sandmann is going to have many wives and girlfriends in his future.
