I thought from reading Free Republic over the years the Military, former, active, and retired was 1000% for the Constitution, law and Order, and Conservative. What is going on?

Jimmy Carter is a military vet.

Lots of people around here forget that there have been liberals in the military since forever.

Fake vets, in military attire bought at some Army surplus store. It was like the fake national guard pic taken in California about six weeks ago...that was a stage pic of them kneeling but they were ‘actors’.

Wogs. (without guts), there are a lot in the uniform. They join for the secure pay cheque and to do as little as possible and get paid as much as possible. Otherwise known as Maritimers. There are a few ok ones from there, but the majority are brainwashed liberal voters, and useless eaters.

Probably have dishonorable discharges. Veterans don’t get veteran license tags unless they are honorably discharged, no general or dishonorable discharges allowed.

The designation of Veteran is simply anybody that serves 180 days of continuous active duty. The status of veteran is just a designation used to determine eligibility for benefits. The designation is misunderstood and often abused.

When I went through Boot Camp we had individuals who really tried but physically they could not be Marines. Occasionally, the Corps would keep a recruit in Boot Camp for the maximum of 180 days, to give them a chance to make it. If they failed they were given a General Discharges. However, they were given veterans status and eligible for State and Federal VA Benefits. Guard and Reserve are treated differently, they must have a combined total of 180 days of active duty not including drill weekends over a set period of time. During the last war we would assign some Reservists to Administrative duties if they did not complete the continuous 180 days. They were eligible for Federal Benefits but their States had a strict 180 day continuous rule. Disclaimer, my knowledge of the rules is long past the "best if used by date" so things may have changed and often do. But as far as I know the 180 days is still a rule.

There are a lot of “veterans” out there who were less then stellar Marines, Sailors, Soldiers or Airman. There are some "veterans" who were discharged on General Discharges for the Good or Under Less then Honorable Conditions who still claim veterans status, simply because they served. Until you see members of the VFW or other service related organizations marching with ANTIFA, take the claim to Veterans Status with a grain of salt.

8 years of Obama and his purges in the military had an impact on who served, who left and what today passes for our formerly great military. (Retired Army Officer)

I’ve attended Vet meetings where draftees still have major issues and are very leftly inclined.

Vets of our newer wars develop attitudes as well considering the pansyiation of our military during the obama years.

But my guess is most of them are fake vets or those bought and paid for by Soros.

Didn't see that part in the constitution where it says supporting a known Marxist organization over your country's ideology is preferred?

Me either.

"I thought from reading Free Republic over the years the Military, former, active, and retired was 1000% for the Constitution, law and Order, and Conservative."

Do you actually BELIEVE what you see from Antifa? How quaint.

Those "moms", the other day, weren't. Andy Ngo, who knows them all, indicated they were the same old dykes and leftover hippies in new yellow tee shirts...

And, just so you know, there have always been a few f%ckups, who can claim the title, however vague, of "vet". The dope smokers with UD discharges, the sh!tbird who only made it halfway thru basic, the thief who was time-in-grade ranking private, for the entire service.

The rest of us did a job, and came home. This "Thank-you-for-your-service" bull only indicates that someone feels guilty about not volunteering the time spent toking in a dorm room. They've been told by the media it makes us feel better. I, personally, always wonder, "Well where were you while I was shoveling sh!t in Louisiana?"
