As U.S. coronavirus cases surged past 4 million on Thursday, the number of daily covid-19-related deaths surpassed 1,000 for the third consecutive day. More than 500 of the fatalities were recorded in Florida, California and Texas, where the novel coronavirus is spreading at alarming rates. “What we have right now are essentially three New Yorks with these three major states,” White House coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx said, a reference to the earlier epicenter of the U.S. outbreak.

I have never put on a mask and I am willing to bet I’ll enjoy life longer than those mask Nazis, despite my advanced age. .Why? Cause I exercise regularly, eat well, sleep well, keep healthy, plus I don’t cut off a big chunk of my oxygen supply by putting on stupid masks.

Bullsh*t. I am in Central Texas. My county has had 2800 total cases and 18 total deaths. The whole COVID thing is a scam. I don’t even know anybody who has had it.
Your typical handmade strip of thin cloth set askew partially covering the nose and mouth that people tug out constantly in the hot humid weather is not doing a damn thing to prevent the spread of the virus. Wearing it long after it has gotten wet from humidity and perspiration then not bothering to wash it properly is a good way to spread the virus.
It takes the right fit, design, and material thickness along with proper care for a homemade mask to be effective. And that is only in addition to proper hand washing and people who are sick self isolating and other mitigations.
Most of the time when officials are advocating that the public should wear face coverings it is because they believe those face coverings act to prevent people from being a source for the virus. The argument being if you cough or sneeze you will not be spreading as many germs. Basically they want you to wear a face handkerchief because I guess people just are snotting all over the place otherwise.
Me, I favor people who are hacking up hairballs and exploding snot staying home.
Only Jesus can save us.
Cases increased exponentially here again, figures just released. Almost five times what they were just four days ago.
Claiming the "experts" have been "wrong" is a total lie. They've been learning from data on how this new virus acts. There's still a lot we don't know.
What didn't help was Fauci choosing to lie to the American people about masks from the beginning in order to save PPE for health care workers.
The "Fake News" coverage hasn't helped by lying about Trump's stand on masks and social distancing. They've consistently gotten it wrong for political reasons. Just like Fake News provided cover for Cuomo when he sent hundreds or thousands to their deaths in nursing homes rather than using the resources available. Trump's ALWAYS criticized "going herd" as he says.
As someone who has worked throughout the pandemic, exposed to the public, I'm ready for this thing to be done and under control. I'm tired of the misdirected anger. Try wearing a mask 10 hours a day at work, with ignorant people popping off, having to sanitize your hands to the point they dry out and being run ragged to where you don't know what day you're in.
If you really believe in Jesus you need to start putting some trust in him and get yourself out of total panic mode. If you believe in Jesus why are you so afraid to die? I’m not.

Those who believe in the promises of Christ need have no fear of death.

My latest theory: When the number of cases approaches the NY + NJ numbers, the virus has denatured itself sufficiently by internal coding errors to turn the daily new cases downward.
If I’m right, new cases in TX and FL are about to turn around. CA should be leading, but so far no joy.
