As U.S. coronavirus cases surged past 4 million on Thursday, the number of daily covid-19-related deaths surpassed 1,000 for the third consecutive day. More than 500 of the fatalities were recorded in Florida, California and Texas, where the novel coronavirus is spreading at alarming rates. “What we have right now are essentially three New Yorks with these three major states,” White House coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx said, a reference to the earlier epicenter of the U.S. outbreak.

Death rates will plateau within 2-3 weeks and drop rapidly after that. It will happen far sooner once they cull the phony china virus deaths now that CDC isn’t doing the reporting.
Highest Daily Death Totals from Texas for the past few days are from Hidalgo, Val Verde and El Paso counties.
Want to know what they have in Common? Border counties.
Deaths in Houston and Dallas have averaged 16 a day, Hidalgo is averaging 33, Valverde 10 to 12, population of 350k, El paso about 15.
The entire border region has less that half the Houston metro area, but the deaths are 3x higher?
Folks coming into Texas from out of state are being checked by the DPS, folks coming in over the border that are claiming medical emergencies are walked right into the nearest hospital, and since they are filled to the top, the are being moved into the larger metro areas through out the state.
Give me a break. New York has had more than 30,000 from Covid-19. Texas has had less than 5,000, and has more than 50% more population than New York.
Death rates are effectively constant or going down. People are being labeled as COVID Positive when they were never tested and are healthy.
There is no issue with COVID anywhere outside of nursing homes in Democrat areas.
Hospitals easily handle extra loads and ICUs aren’t overwhelmed and can be extended if needed. Hospitals purposely keep ICUs small until needing more units.
Kae, it’s not a problem. If you are endangered, stay inside and have your husband get your stuff or order it all in.

Yup. Birx is not stupid. She is allegedly a numbers person. If she said this it was deliberate sabotage. DeSantis is appearing with Trump at this very moment as she says that.
Looks like Trump hasn’t learned his lesson with Fauci and Birx. They’ll once again contradict everything Trump says, while he falls all over himself in prausing them.
I’m convinced Trump could be talked into a 2nd Shutdown.

Texas has a law that gives a vast amount of power to hospital ethic boards in determining when care is considered futile and patients should be denied treatment. There have been several high profile cases where non-terminal persons died because of such decisions. So the definition of “too sick” probably means “too old”, “not enough insurance”, “no family support”, and the like.
I’m wondering how many of those 16 per day in Houston were actually infected in Houston, rather than infected in the Valley and transported to TMC.
How many people will you give it to? Your friends? Your family? Your parents? Your grandparents?
