Ya gotta feel for the Tampa Bay Rays. Imagine having your Twitter account hacked by political extremists on Opening Day? You’re trying to gin up enthusiasm in a fan base that couldn’t come to your (craptastic) ballpark if they wanted to, and some basement Bolshevik is posting Black Lives Matter propaganda on your twitter feed.
That is what happened, isn’t it …?
At 8AM July 24, the Rays tweeted “Today is Opening Day, which means it's a great day to arrest the killers of Breonna Taylor.” Taylor was a black woman who was shot to death by Louisville, KY police in March. An investigation is ongoing and thus far the officers haven’t been arrested. What that has to do with the Tampa Bay MLB franchise or Opening Day is anybody’s guess.

Was this the woman whose home was involved in the no knock raid,but the cops got the wrong house number and shot her while she was in bed sleeping? Everything that could go wrong did. She should still be alive.
Tour players are independent contractors who have their single brand to protect. Way different than folks with guaranteed contracts.

Yes, and that may be the case, but the TB Rays are a baseball team...not a victims rights activist organization. Play ball...don’t comment on legal, political or social issues. People watched (used to) sports to get AWAY from those things...not to keep hearing about it.
I read something about the opening day TV broadcast inserting a virtual crowd into the game. Did anyone watching the game see this?

MLB pissed me off with what happened in Boston yesterday. They can’t give tickets to Tropicana field away. I wouldn’t go if they were FREE.
The NFL pissed me off with the original kneeling and now two anthems. This hurts because the Bucs got the GOAT & Gronk. But I will not watch them in person nor on TV
We do not have a NBA team and I think the NBA is tied to the player and not on “TEAM”.
NASCAR pissed me off over Jussie Smollet V2 and the fake noose.
All I have left is The National Hockey Leauge. Keep standing for both the American and Canadian anthems and just play hockey. Stay away from politics.
Never saw a successful business model that advocates pi_sing off your regular customers. Any “new” customers they think they’ll pick up over this are people who never followed the game, anyway, and won’t care when the next issue comes along. But hey, all the better for families and communities when they will have time to spend with each other instead of being glued to the TV watching that nonsense.
Was she killed intentionally, or with extreme malice?
If this article is about the case I cited she was collateral damage,but the after action report actually said no one was injured in the raid. Guess technically
they were right, she was killed.
