Police commanders who refuse to obey orders risk their jobs and pensions.
Most cops are looking out for themselves these days. I will not give support nor sympathy to departments whose pension funds go bust.
The police commissioners are elected in most places. Guess what? They’re part of the people willfully issuing these orders.
