The headline says they suffered permanent damage. Every laser incident I have ever witnessed or had to follow up on has a period of time whete vision is not great. All except one resolved in a month or less
You have no background in lasers or in eye safety. I on the other hand do....a 45yr career in lasers and electro optics.
