Sen. Rand Paul, a long-time critic of Rep. Liz Cheney, joined the conservative pile-on of the Wyoming Republican, saying on Wednesday: "I don't think she's good for the country" and accused her of trying to "sabotage" President Donald Trump's foreign policy.
Paul, a libertarian-minded Republican, has long sparred with Cheney, who supports hawkish views on national security. And asked about House conservatives lashing out at Cheney behind closed doors, Paul joined in on the criticism in an interview with CNN.
"I mean she tries to sabotage everything he tries to do in foreign policy, so I don't know whether she's a good advocate for the President or not," Paul said when asked if he thinks she should remain as a congressional co-captain for the Trump campaign's finance committee.
Cheney has broken with Trump over pulling US troops from Germany and Afghanistan, warning in June for instance of "a serious error" with "grave consequences" if US troops were to be pulled out of Germany.
"I think one of the good things about President Trump is he's tried to end the war in Afghanistan after 20 years," Paul said. "Liz Cheney was one of the main obstacles to ending the war."
Paul added: "I'm not a big fan of the perpetual war caucus. And these are the neoconservatives in our party that really try to prevent us from trying to disengage from a war."

I disagree with Mr Paul more and more each day.
Trump has been dragging the GOP away from the neocons since he took office, and the neocons are not happy. IF he wins another term, the neocons will be severely weakened, and that will be a significant piece of his legacy.
Well I guess it evens out then, because I agree with him more and more everyday. Rep. Cheny is a piece of work... I understand she is lesbian?
No offense Marine but Rand is right on Cheney Jr
No her sister is
Rep Cheney is a baby maker and craves daddys approval
No, that’s her gay sister.

I know @Liz_Cheney as a principled leader who puts her country first. In the coming months, we are going to need lots of leaders to step up, speak their minds, & stand for their beliefs.
Me too. What is it with Cheney and even the former SC Gov/UN Ambassador? Always in crunch time to make a point. Trying to align with Never Trumpers. I always thought the Cheney’s were different than the Bushes.
When I’ve seen her, she is disagreeing with this side of the aisle
I’m with Rand 100% but it’s time to focus our fire on the Democrats
Bear in mind Rand isn’t up for re-election until 2022!
But I’m sure he will do everything he can to help Trump.
Cheney would have us fighting crackpot wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, garrisoning Germany instead of the Germans while parts of our country fall to violent leftists. Reminds me of pre-Bolshevik Russia, when the Allies pushed the new government to stay in World War One while the country fell to the Bolsheviks.
Why the hell do we still have troops in Germany? We’ve fought two worlds wars against Germany at the cost of many American lives.
It doesn’t make much sense but I think the MIC (Military Industrial Complex) that Ike warned about & all the spending that goes on has something to do with it..
There will always be those of us non politically correct people that believe if you have your love and sex life 180 degrees out of whack with God, EVERY thought PROCESSED was through a damaged filter.
Disagree with Rand Paul over what?
Rand Paul is 100% right.
That a boy, Rand! Liz Chaney is Madeleine Albright dressed up like a Republican.
Rarely do I agree with Rand, but on this I do.
