Despite that, the state has imposed a total prohibition on religious activities, thus violating its constitutionally protected freedoms of religion, speech and assembly, the suit alleges.
This is exactly the kind of thing that should be considered a hill worth dying on. Not only is it a higher duty of obedience to God, but it is spelled out quite plainly in our Constitution. If we won't fight for this, what will we fight for? Police coming to break up a church gathering and encountering armed citizens with other ideas would be exactly in keeping with our national ideals. Just saying...
