Antifa has three layers. 1st the innocent front line 'moms' for media coverage. 2nd the 'useful idiots' for starting the attack and generating large number to Maas targets and lastly the 'shock troops' with their all black cloths and umbrellas. The shock troop throw the fireworks, the cement shakes, the rocks and hide behind their umbrellas. All these are controlled by the leaders who stay in the back directing the troops to the chosen target(s).

Note they all yell "stop attacking me!" when they start the attack. Or one of the 'useful idiots' runs up, hits someone and then runs away. So the person responding is dealing with the innocent front line that did nothing but now has been attacked by the mean nazi.
