My wife and I have been eligible for AARP membership for several years. My wife joined for one year (I didn't know until after the fact), and it was nothing but an endless stream of e-mail, snail mail, and phone spam soliciting money. I'm a member of the NRA and American Legion and get enough of that crap from them. At least they have a purpose for existing. No, I don't supplemental health insurance, I don't need term life insurance, I don't need a reverse mortgage, and I sure as hell don't need anybody trying to tell me otherwise and picking my pocket. Begone.
