In one of the first signs that a backlash has begun against police protests, a growing number of people are voicing their support for law enforcement, especially in their neighborhood, and shifting away from the defund effort sparked by the Black Lives Matter marches.
66% of adults said they oppose cutting the police budget in their community to channel money to social services, the scheme pushed by many liberals. That is up from 59% just last month.
57% of black people oppose defunding police in their home community. For whites, it's 69%, and for other minorities, it is 62%.
The Republican Attorneys General Association today focused on the crime surge in rapping Democratic state attorneys general for staying quiet about the defund movement.
They released a video criticizing those attorneys general and said in a statement, Americans are less safe in Democrat-run cities because they refuse to protect citizens from violent crime and instead publicly urge the burning down of our country and cheer on the violent mobs.

Trump’s campaign needs to run non stop those riot commercials and Biden’s silence on them. Make more of the ads and keep them in battleground states every hour until the election. Also make ads supporting police, anything like that will help.
You know very well they have their hands tied....
Unfortunately the public doesn’t respond fuly until they start getting burned themselves........
These students protesting today are just the robots of the Obama Foundation using it’s site to get them into the streets.....recalling Obama stating....”we’ve been waiting for you”......when they hit the streets.
However Trump knows he’s got to calm down these riot areas....but he has a huge deep state political structure working against him we see operating in these cities.
There is NO EXCUSE for allowing the attack to go on for 10 minutes before getting involved!
Yes it is....saw that up close and personal when our city officals, police and community shut down the protest here in one hour. We saw what they were doing in Pittsburg and the entire community basically said...”That’s NOT going to happen here!”...and it didn’t. Everybody who carried (open and concealed)showed up to protect our stores, monuments etc. It was a thing of beauty to behold!

The people assulted knew the risk where that occured.....if a community and it’s officials aren’t on board with the police then what is any citizen and otherwise doing there where they know the danger of getting help isn’t going to happen?
The nation should have a blue light day!
You have access to the videos, try watching a couple and tell me you can defend the inaction of the police.
You also have access via the link provided, to the idiotic response the Police chief gave in an interview.
Yet you ask, why would anybody stand up for law and order when others in the community don't?
Because the only alternative is to start shooting.....a prospect you deny.
Same in Portland. The citizens are in near universal revolt against Trump and the police.
You post 18r all over this site....where are your “later” responses might I ask?
I’ve already made myself clear....here, and on other threads you’re following me around on.
I saw the videos BEFORE they were posted here on FR.
You appear to me to be soomeone who’d just as soon get in the street and start firing yourself if the police don’t respond as you believe they should...you sure sound like you want a street firing civil war.
You sure sound like you’re happy with a leftist take over and the loss of your freedom.
I just have common sense enough to know there’s a time and a place for everything.....now is not the time for the action you appear to want to take so often.
When a mob can control city streets, those who do not agree with the mob are not free.
Who is responsible for this breakdown?
You.
You are allowing it.
Whether you are afraid to speak up to your political leaders. Whether you feel like I pay the police to deal with that stuff. Or maybe you just try to ignore political stuff altogether.
This is your responsibility.
I, & the collective we the police officers, cannot change the trajectory Seattle is on right now.
Only you can change it.
Only you can march in the streets against the mob or flood the city council meetings only you who dont want to see mayhem, disorder, and anarchy in your city can stop it. Only you can make the politicians allow us to complete THE MISSION.
Only you can unbreak me. Only you can let me return to THE MISSION.
I await your decision.
Obviously it wasn’t intended for me as our community and it’s officials supports our Officials and police, as do I.... and they know it. Tried and tested as posted before.
Seattle officials and citizens are responsible for what they allow on their streets in the violence and opposition to their police officers.
I see, so until the problem shows up at your front door the rest of America can go to hell........
Of course not.....however there’s not a dang thing I can do for Seattle or any other places the left officials have a stronghold on the actions or non-actions of their police force, apart from contacting my state Representives,(which was done) and the White House (also done) that someone in those cities needs to take control and stop it.
