This all seems a little short sighted. Sorry for skimming, but I’d imagine something like the fall of Yugoslavia, with all the trappings, including the fact that there may well be more than two sides, factions, or parties involved, and also lots of claims for all sides of war crimes, and combinations of organized war, asymetric and guerilla war, and soooooo much innocent and civilian death and destruction caught all in the middle. So please pray that this is nothing more than a thought exercise. Groups hiding the the hills, the taking of cities, and also, like that scenario in the 90s with Kosovo, serbia and croatia, lots of outside intervention. U.N. boots on the ground, and many powers in the world (old and new) sooo very happy to see the collapse and as crazy as rabid dogs to get in for a piece of the action, all for the sake of ‘peace and restoring stability’ of course. wink/nudge heh
I don’t know how and who will control the military, and where it will land, but even if we don’t have outside air power over our skies, I would definitely not be suprised to see a lot of air drops of supplies and aid, and perhaps secretly even weapons, and I am sure you would have cities and regions under seige, at least for certain periods of time. Ugly ugly business. You don’t want this.

I don't think so. Yugoslavia had ethnic groups that had been fighting for 1000 years. We don't have that here. Woke liberals are not an ethnic group, they are mostly soylent green. Blacks are not a cohesive ethnic group either, but some will form gangs. Same with hispanics.
I think the author has it mostly right, the elites will run it. Their shock troops and their useful idiots equals about 30% of the population. Our active resistance is probably another 30%.
A lot of it depends on how the US military reacts when civil war II starts. I used to think a majority of it would stand down and let the feds, states and cities go through it. However with Mattis and the rest being insubordinate and hinting at a coup should be tried I suspect they will side with the deep state and the kind of mess in Yugoslavia will be the type of war. But the military grunts on the ground will be taking into account that the people they are shooting are their neighbors and those they don’t kill will be out for revenge against the military members families. This will be a bloody, nasty mess if the left goes there. I pray it doesn’t happen but I don’t think the left is going to agree and will as they did in 1861, force the war upon the country.
