I answered your question. If you are an employee violating local law and or store policy.. ..yes. It will be documented

If you are a customer violating law and store policy..maybe..in order to document they arent enforcing policy. Although that is sketchy because their are exemptions. However when mgmt. Admits they arent enforcing their own policy it adds to liability issue. I wouldnt do it on the spot but i would make sure it is documented

Btw..here is another example. I once got cut at lowes from one of those things sticking out from the shelf when they didnt leave enough room to pass it. Bled quite a bit and wouldnt stop bleeding..possible von willebrand issue

I made sure it was documented just in case i got infected or other issue..plus i needed their first aid kit

Premises liability

I always make sure there is documentation in case something comes up later. The first thing asked from insurance company is..did you alert them.
