There are also financial incentives to overstate COVID cases and deaths. The more you have, the more federal aid you get.
One issue I dont hear discussed is recovery data. I understand you have to have two negative tests in a row to be declared recovered. How many of these 3 million confirmed cases are multiple tests for individuals? Each confirmed individual must take at least three tests. The first that identified him/her and two more to confirm recovery.
And we are also finding out that many states are lumping in antibody tests with the diagnostic tests. A positive antibody test adds to the number of confirmed cases. The data are so screwed up that it makes it difficult to figure out what is going on. Plus, the reporting of daily deaths Is being skewed since many of the deaths occurred weeks and months ago. Not accidental.
Excellent analysis and exactly what is going on.My emphasis has always been on the deaths. They are so convoluted you can't figure out what is going on which I'm sure is part of the plan. Make things so screwed up yet still relevant that no one knows where the figures come from.
Problem is we do know where these figures have come from and we are fighting back.
AT has a piece up today how local and state governments are feeling the financial pinch of reduced taxes and revenue. it’s about to bite ‘em bigly.
I believe that’s why so many govs are pushing massive testing-—to restock their treasuries with COVID reimbursements.

Overstated, double counted, mixed positives with anti-bodies tests. Estimates are actual situation and numbers are approx. 1/2 of what’s reported.
