I was surprised at the number of high level execs that were into a few seconds of 300 MPH cars flying down a quarter of a mile track and then had to use parachutes to stop them from crashing.
It was a new experience and we had a few trailers {enjoyment centers} in the pit next to the vehicle.
Food and libation and entertainment always makes for a relaxed customer/prospect/peddler scene.
I would think that the NASCAR fans are starting to get the same feeling that pro football fans have experienced.
When the pro sports owners take their base for granted and start to implement a plan that goes against their values, big trouble will follow.
NASCAR is approaching a pro-wrestling quandry: will it continue to be a sport and may the best driver win? Or will it turn into an entertainment franchise replete with Wacky Races” heroes and villains and a different “winner” every race?

Racing is a gentleman’s sport.

It has everything to do with Wallace capitalizing on his skin color to affect competition. He got a free ride for several races with finishes well above his average.
