WASHINGTON (CNN) The official portraits of former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were removed from the Grand Foyer of the White House within the last week, aides told CNN, and replaced by those of two Republican presidents who served more than a century ago.
White House tradition calls for portraits of the most recent American presidents to be given the most prominent placement, in the entrance of the executive mansion, visible to guests during official events.
That was the case through at least July 8, when President Donald Trump welcomed Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. The two stood in the Cross Hall of the White House and made remarks, with the portraits of Clinton and Bush essentially looking on as they had been throughout Trump's first term.
But in the days after after that, the Clinton and Bush portraits were moved into the Old Family Dining Room, a small, rarely used room that is not seen by most visitors.
That places the paintings well outside of Trump's vantage point in the White House. In their previous location, the pictures would have been seen daily as Trump descends the staircase from his third floor private residence or when he hosts events on the state floor of the White House. Now, they hang in a space used mainly for storing unused tablecloths and furniture.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Bump!
I would have pasted them to the bottom of garbage bins.
And the best part of the whole article
“and replaced by those of two Republican presidents who served more than a century ago.”
BWAHAHAHA!
The Old Family Dining Room? That must be where they keep the fancy eatin table
George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H. W. Bush are all in the bottom half of presidents. Barack Hussein is at the very bottom among all White House occupants. It’s nice to finally have a president worthy of following Ronald Reagan!
If anyone complains, the WH should get Epstien’s pic of of Bubba wearing a blue dress and heels out of the FBI evidence room and hang it instead.
Since when did CNN care about tradition and history of any kind?
ha ha! I don’t think a comment in necessary the moving of the portraits is comment enough. Elections have consequences! This is too funny! LOL!
LEX
It’s not much but I’ll atke it. Can use some good news.
“... tradition calls ...”
Turns out we have a non-traditional president.
I would have swapped their portraits with those of more consequential Presidents. That’s a long list up to and including James Garfield and William Henry Harrison.
Put up portraits of Millard Fillmore and James Garfield.
Heck, it is only two stories, isn’t it?
Besides, I’ll bet he likes the drama of coming down the stairs...:)
Move the to the L.B.J. conference room (the Presidents toilet in the Oval Office.). It would be kinda poetic since they were both full of the brown stuff.
P
But where is Odumma’s??
Can put the portrait of Slick Willy back into the Epstein mansion
winning
God willing Obama’s is in a latrine somewhere.
