They started this war brilliantly with lockdowns, isolated us so we couldn’t form large protests or storm the state capitol.
They followed up with mask mandates, orders to all the people in their state to do something, anything as long as its an order and as long as its followed. As long as it shows we must bow to the leaders.

You are conflating something that helps in opening up (e.g. see the salon that had no spread with masks) with the opposite: more detrimental shutdowns. I don't think masks should be mandated by edict with fines. But I think they should be strongly encouraged particularly by the private sector (which is happening).
