DoughtyOne's trend line graphs tell a different story, as do the hospital statistics here in San Antonio. The upsurge is of recent vintage, and is just beginning to show up in the data. IMO, said upsurge is a direct consequence of the Floyd riots/protests, as the time interval from those events, corrected for incubation, is a good match.
