Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said in a statement on Thursday that she will propose an amendment to the next coronavirus aid legislation that would withhold aid to states that do not have a mask mandate.
Feinstein said:
In the last two weeks, 41 states saw an increase in coronavirus cases, with a total of 3.5 million infected nationwide. California, Florida and New York each topped 300,000 cases, and Texas will soon follow. We’ve seen 60,000 new cases in five of the last six days. We’re failing to control this virus and it’s time for serious action.

Yes, and it has very little to do with masks, I've heard bizzare arguments like masks delay herd immunity so masks are bad. Yes they delay herd immunity but they also complement herd immunity.
Herd immunity slows spread. Masks slow spread. They do the same thing.
I have multiple studies saying they don’t work. And yes it greatly infringes my liberty. It is a dictate issued by a petty dictator with absolutely no representation. I believe we fought a war over this a few hundred years ago. They want a law? take it through the legislature

Anecdotally, the numbers in the southern border states are surging because of legal and illegal Mexican immigrants seeking medical treatment at USA hospitals.
The number of deaths nationally has also flat lined - only Arizona shows a conspicuous percentage increase.
Then after that they’ll have us wearing our underwear on the outside so the Underwear Police can see if it’s clean.

There are too many variables to make a real judgment. Last night someone posted that covid Mexicans were inundating the border states and being moved statewide because the border towns do not have enough covid space. A “scientific sturdy” would require observing draconian full time mask wearing vs no masks. No one is going to do that. They will just tell you that masks will save the world and no masks will kill everyone with covid.
If the downturn in covid deaths is ever discovered, the mask frenzy people will claim it is due to wearing masks rather than an apparent herd immunity.
The vaccine ship sailed a hundred years ago. This is about a different sort of control.
Mandatory vaccine was held constitutional by SCOTUS. And it doesn’t matter if the vaccine is effective or not.
