I will say that I do not think Trump is fool. Not one bit. He understands this game better than I do and he knows doing nothing will sabotage the rest of his term or terms. Based on this, I used to firmly believe there was a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes, but I have lost confidence for the reasons I wrote above.
I think people saw him for what he is....a weasel.....he KNEW DC...yet he allowed strozk and mueller etc to get their dirty little fingers in there....unconscious-able...

Tuberville could be another unforced error for Trump, but with Trump now touting a “path to citizenship” for illegals, who knows where anything stands on the issue?
What state are you in? Did the illegal problem become better or worse in your state in the 20 years Superman Sessions was a Senator?

Maybe he’s just spineless then. As I recall, the entire basis for his recusal was 1) he was at a dinner party that the Russian Ambassador also attended and 2) he and several of his staff once met with the Russian Ambassador and several of his staff.
Rosenstein not only refused to recuse himself after signing a fraudulent FISA warrant he continues to publicly support the coup. Yet Trump’s AG Jeff Sessions couldn’t bring himself to engage his former deputy while campaigning for his old senate seat. What a wimp!
I think the bottom line is Sessions is a Marquess of Queensberry Republican and deeply offended by the brawling nature of POTUS. He’ll support Trump on policy but he won’t engage the deep state on his behalf. Really, really odd.

I don’t know about that but I do know Jeff Sessions was onboard the USS GOP Senate for 20 years while our country was hit by a massive and probably fatal wave of illegal immigration. Given that he is certainly culpable for the situation we are in.
That has been my opinion also. He was too meek for the job and/or too trusting of snakes like Rod Rosenstein.
Rosenstein seems plenty meek yet he is all over twitter supporting the coup. Sessions endorsed Tuberville and claims to want POTUS to win. Yet to this day he refuses to support POTUS against the coup. A broadside or two against Rosenstein, Graham or Barr would be very helpful to Trump. And what do we get from Sessions? Nothing. Sessions wants his cake and eat it too. Typical useless Senator.

Yet Sessions has fully endorsed “Amnesty Tommy”. Really, there is nothing to be gained refighting this primary. It’s over. On to November and beating Jones.
Sessions lost due to all the filthy Indian tech company donations to Tuberville. The Indian Jobs Express Train must not be stopped.
One of the greatest disappointments in republican politics, especially because of what has gone on and continues to go on. It could cause a citizen to loose all trust in government. There have been many disappointments.
Build a wall sounds good.
And what does it mean to let them in and become citizens the way "we all" became citizens?

I wasn't endorsing the Elf, I merely noted that he cautioned the GOPe to get on the Trump train because they will likely lose if they don't.
I hated what he did to Trump and never spoke kindly of him since. He does not deserve to win anything that involved a government salary.
