And, have you noticed that it is VERY difficult to get a “rescue” dog that isn’t a pitbull or pitbull mutt/mix?

At our local shelter, it seems to be all pitbull and pitbull mixes. If you want to rescue a dog, consider a greyhound. There are loads available as the Florida tracks are shutting down and they may be a complete opposite to the pit bull.
