Walmart and Sam's Club shoppers will be required to wear face masks to prevent coronavirus spread in all stores starting July 20, the company announced Wednesday.
"Currently about 65 percent of our more than 5,000 stores and clubs are located in areas where there is some form of government mandate on face coverings. To help bring consistency across stores and clubs, we will require all shoppers to wear a face covering," the retail giant said in a blog post.

Seriously, what is the end-point for wearing a mask. As in, at what point will we be told there’s no need for them anymore? I honestly don’t think they’ll ever decide we don’t need them anymore?

Like many have said, that mask is a effective against the little chink bug, as is a chain link fence against a fallen hive of pissed off wasps.

Relaxation is not my problem. (Neither are my lungs.) It’s curiosity. WM will let you bring in a skunk if you call it a service animal, so I’m curious how they’ll deal with customers who won’t comply.
I feel so sorry for staff in stores that are required to wear masks for their entire shifts, that I , in solidarity, will wear one.

A local chain grocery store has the signs posted saying you must wear a mask, however it is basically not enforced if someone chooses not to as the apparently don’t want to risk a confrontation between employee and customer over one.
In my state “nonessential” retail was closed until May 20 or something like that, I have quickly found a really don’t need many of these big box stores to get the things I need. I can order on Amazon or some other website and have it show up at my door. Since they have reopened I don’t think I’ve actually gone to one “nonessential” big box store. These idiotic governor’s in Stores May have just shot themselves in the foot.
Since only a few months ago you would have been turned away from every store for wearing a face covering (for security reasons) and now everything is 180 degrees ass backwards. I wear a mask, but I purposely make it the most suspicious looking, robber get up I can find. My current costume is an all black "cat burglar" cap pulled down to eye level, a black camo covert ops balaclava over my neck and face pulled up to eye level and a pair of large "men in black" sunglasses, which I keep on at all times. I look like a cross between an ISIS terrorist in a beheading video and a professional jewel thief.
There is a certain satisfaction marching right into a bank or Wal-Mart and security just stands there slightly confused because four months ago he would have tackled me on the spot but now I'm just another law abiding mask wearing citizen.

+1 from a west sider. I figure if they want to accept the expense of providing me a free mask ( like the airlines and , just today , a Panera in Jefferson I’ll) then ok. Otherwise I go with a alternative

I’d watch that if I were you; just last Sunday I wore one on which I’d written BAAA! BAAA! very clearly...turns out some old bag (had to be a woman, a man would either tell me to my face or not get upset in the first place) got triggered and sicced the manager on me, telling him I wore it with my nostrils free (true enough) and he proceeded to ‘correct’ me, and I proceeded to tell him some words he doesn’t normally hear at work...
this has convinced me it has nothing to do with safety, and is all about mind control, through the medium of personal shaming; and it’s convinced me to stay away from places where females, particular older ones, dominate the premises..

They are a Private Business, they can do what they want.
If people don’t want to go there to Shop, so be it.

I wore a mask to go shopping; they still weren’t happy, as I allowed my nostrils to breathe in the manner in which they are supposed to do...you still think I ought to relax about their ‘no big deal’ rules...?

Well, it is their right to do so nonetheless just as it’s your right not to shop there.
Everyone has a line in the sand they will not cross. For some people this is it, for others, not so much.
