Now, these one-time heroes of the Left have become "reactionary" person non grata in the eyes of the Far Left (i.e. these former left-wing icons are just beneficiaries of "white privilege" in the eyes of Antifa and BLM radicals). Every radical movement turns its knives on its own old guard first, from Stalinists purging most of Lenin's former comrades to Mao doing the same thing to those who had once been in his own inner circle. The same thing is happening with the American Left today.

Wonder if we could get “the oppressive left” into popular use? Leftism needs to be associated with “oppression” as quickly as possible. Young people especially love thinking they are fighting oppression; let’s tell them over and over that they are the oppressors and see how they react (beyond trying to oppress us...).
