What do you do if you are wearing a mask and you see someone without one? The natural reaction is probably to keep your distance.

Thus the interaction between a masked person and a non-masked person actually promotes social distancing.

The person wearing a mask feels safer and the person not wearing a mask is happy to not have people close to them.

It’s a win / win.

Here is an example where not possible. You are standing at your cart just having put something in it.

Along comes employee swinging right by you as he swivels his maskless head because he is wearing it under his chin despite local, state, and employer laws... shouting at another employee.

You just got a shot of Covid if he has it.

Happened to me

I am not sure my protection was enough to withstand the blast
