I imagine the ‘re-imagining’ of policing will end the first time two ‘social workers’ show up to a ‘mental crisis’ knife-welding zombie and are attacked. Or the first time they show up to a domestic disturbance and instead of arguing with each other, the domestics turn on the responders.
Maybe they can hire some meter-maids, but that’s just above minimum wage, same as psych majors careers. We could make it a felony to attack any of the above, but that would just add to power trips on one side and more prison population on the other.
