Chance the Rapper caused a stir on Monday by supporting Kanye West over presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden for president. While he said he understands the desire to oust President Donald Trump, he suggested that Trump’s opponents could do better than Joe Biden. Yet the rapper went further, too. He said black people might be “racist” if they prefer Biden to Kanye.

“Are u more pro biden or anti ye and why? I get that you’ll want to reply that you’re just tryna ‘get trump out’ but in this hypothetical scenario where you’re replacing Trump, can someone explain why Joe Biden would be better??” Chancelor Jonathan Bennett, who performs as Chance the Rapper, tweeted.

In this context, the rapper suggested that black people who prefer Biden might be “racist” against Kanye.

“Ima keep it real alota u niggas is racist,” he tweeted.

If it was just Biden vs Kanye, I’m voting Kanye. Would have voted for Kanye over Hillary or Romney for that matter.

New poll out today shows Kanye West has 2% of the vote as of now.

I’m sure the media will report it as “Trump” voters (as they already have), but the truth is they’re Biden voters.

Anybody that wants that, without any real reason or explanation, is simply ignorant or dumb.

Trump has been the best president ever when it comes to jobs and economic gains for black people (and Hispanics and women and everybody across any sector that anybody wants to define).

If anybody actually just wants to 'get Trump out', they're just buying into the democrat lies and politics. The only group that feels that Trump is dangerous, is the democratic party, because, he's destroying their agenda and what they stand for. Blacks have NEVER been better off than under Trump, and Kanye and 'Chance' know it too.

I've heard him talk outside of his rapper persona, and he actually sounds quite educated. I could be wrong, but, rappers have their own language which their fans understand. I'm not a fan of that language or of rap 'music'.

Blacks apparently weren't fond of Hillary, even though she pandered to them, same for Biden - seen as another "old white male." Apparently a lot of blacks stayed home b/c they "didn't see anyone who looked like them" on the ballot.

This could energize blacks, but Kanye may not be what they think. Blacks tend to vote along racial lines.
