California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday ordered a halt to indoor activities at certain businesses statewide as cases of coronavirus surge in the country’s most populous state.
Newsom, a Democrat, announced during a press briefing that all bars across the state must close up shop and that restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, family entertainment centers, zoos, museums and card rooms must suspend indoor activities.
The governor also announced that all gyms, places of worship, malls, personal care services, barbershops, salons, and non-critical offices in counties on the state’s “monitoring list” had to shut down under the new order. The order affects more than 30 counties which are home to about 80 percent of California’s population.

They’re not handouts when the govt. has shut down your place of work and the industry you’ve been in for over 45 years. You try living on $240/week which is what AZ pays for unemployment, 49th lowest in the nation.
Lockdowns kill. Masks kill.
Look for the poverty, homelessness and suicide rate to skyrocket. But the Karen Nazis don’t give a damn about destroyed lives. All over a weak little chest cold, which is very hard to catch.
This Kung Flu is a scamdemic. Anyone with a brain knows that. Make no mistake, they will expect us to wear the dehumanizing masks permanently.
I wasn’t born at the time, but I’ve read about the Hong Kong Flu pandemic of 1968-69. That pandemic was much worse than the Kung flu, but there were no masks or lockdowns.
Similar to now, protests took place all over the country. There was no tyrannical “Social distancing”. God, I hate that Communist term.
Think about this: Woodstock took place during the pandemic. WOODSTOCK. That festival took place during a much deadlier pandemic than the Wuhan Flu.
Masks aren’t worn in Sweden. They didn’t lockdown. The government just closed the secondary schools and restricted a few activities. Otherwise, life went on pretty much as normal.
Last week, Sweden recorded zero Covid deaths. Zero.
I would say that their rational, non tyrannical approach to the little Chinese bug was a raging success. I’m envious.
And, yes, the virus has affected my family. My half-sister died Saturday from it. But, she was also a patient in a nursing home suffering from two broken hips and was diabetic. She definitely had health issues and was vulnerable.
If the country goes into another lockdown, we could experience another Great Depression. That would kill more people than the virus.
The CV19 pandemic will suddenly end Nov 4.
I don’t know. The politicians who are unconstitutionally restricting the lives of the citizens will be so drunk with power by then, they may have to be removed by force.
