Don’t “fire” them. Announce you’ve accepted their resignations and their unilateral cancellation of their prior contract. And that you’ll honor their wishes by not accepting applications for replacement staff from union members.

The real problem with all these calls for firing or renegotiation calls is that everyone here doesn’t seem to understand that those with the power to fire or renegotiate have no interest in doing so...they ALL agree wholeheartedly with the radical teachers...all the way up to the governor. In that very real sense the teacher’s unions make damned sure that they are negotiating with themselves, not with any counterpart that has a different agenda than their own. They do this by being the major money and work machine for the far left politicians in California, and nationally. And as only a smallIsh minority in California does not subscribe to their far left politics, there is no way to change that. It’s an entirely rigged leftist system, and that appears to be the way California wants it.
