Hey radu!

We've had a fairly mild summer so far, it was 92 yesterday but back in the 80's today.

I can't remember if I mentioned it but son had a rare Friday off so we did get out to the gun range. He out-shoots me now for accuracy but I'm right in there close, LOL.

Are the kittehs behavin'?

Howdy, luvie.
Thanks. It’s one I found during a recent “shopping” trip.

Not too hot today because it was cloudy and we had rain this morning. It cleared off late in the afternoon but there were clouds hugging the horizon at sunset, ruining a chance at getting a pic of the comet. We have a couple of rain-free days ahead so maybe I’ll get lucky enough to get a shot.

Another blazing hot day there?

It was horrible. 106...BUT because of the 10% humidity, it felt like 99. LOL!

I put a fan out in the back to blow behind the rain barrels where the kitties like to keep cool. Hoping it gives some relief.

I’m glad you had clouds to cool things off.

And here I thought you were roasting up there all this time. You’ve been more comfy than we have.
Clouds and rain gave us a brief respite today but it’s really gonna ratchet up this week. I dread it.

WOOHOO! Shoot-em-up time this weekend. It’s been a while. Sounds like you’re getting a little rusty. ;-)

For the most part the kittehs are behaving. They have their moments, though, as all kittehs do. LOL

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...was today a Blue day? Hope Penny enjoyed her porch.

I had hopes for some more rain, but I’m starting to see some blue sky.

UHG! Way too hot!
But we’ll be up there with you later this week. Temps in the upper 90s with a heat index 100 to 105, they say.

Might want to check to see if any of the cats are hanging out behind the rain barrels. A lot of cats don’t like the feel of wind and the fan might be keeping them away from their cool spot. Silly critters can’t figure out that a breeze feels good.

I have the fan on low, so mostly what it’ll do is evaporate the water that leaks from the barrel and cools things. That’s the plan anyway. They are used to a breeze. Peaches loves the bedroom fan. Same size.

Our cats all duck if they walk into the flow from the small fan in here. They can’t see what’s touching them and it freaks them out. LOL

The weather report was just on and starting Wed., our heat index will be 105 through next Sunday. Tomorrow won’t be bad and I’d love to go ahead and do the grocery shopping then. But the trucks don’t deliver replenishments until Tues. evening and the shelves - which have been mighty bare anyway lately - will be empty tomorrow after the weekend. I learned that lesson long ago. That’s why I shop on Wed.
I’ll do it after supper Wed. evening when it cools off enough to be almost bearable.

Awful with that heat index. Glad you have refrigerated air! It’ll suck some of that out of the air.

I guess if the cats hate it, I’ll turn it off.

Good evening, radu...not a drop of rain on this side of town. And now the sun is showing up.

Sounds like you got a good dose of rain...hope more is coming and it won’t be so hot.

Yeah, it’s good to have good A/C now and a well-insulated house. If we were still in the old house, it would be rough.
It’ll only be rough when I have to head out to the store.

If the fan is far enough back from the rain barrels that the cats only feel a very slight breeze, it probably won’t bother them. Holli, Miller, and Big ‘Un are sleeping on the edge of my bed at the moment in the slight breeze from the fan. It’s when they walk close to it that they duck.

It is. it’s at the end of the line of barrels. They sleep behind the last one at the other end. I could have gotten the best picture of one of the cats inside of a cinder block that the barrel rests on...only Sugar’s tail showed. But I didn’t have the camera with me.

I’m glad you’re out of that other house. it was bad in many ways!

It stinks that the rain didn’t reach your area. The airport got some decent showers this morning.

The sunshine and cloud shadows look really pretty on the mountains right now.

We got a little over an inch and a half of rain this morning. We were lucky the really rough storms passed west of us. There’s a lot of wind damage in parts of TN from that round of storms.

No rain in the forecast for a few days, than low chances later in the week. It’s just going to be hot.

Thanks Kathy! Yes, I gave the boys rides. When they come over to the house I give rides on my riding mower and forklift.

I’m gonna get a trailer for the mower and give them all a ride : )

Well, it probably won’t bother them much then. Had to LOL at the mental picture of Sugar’s tail poking out of the cinder block.

You have no idea how happy I am to finally be out of the old house. I think Hubby probably kicks himself at times for putting it off so long. It’s much more comfortable over here.

She was so cute. Then hubby started the water and scared her out before I thought of getting the camera. LOL!

Bet he wishes y’all moved years ago! He should listen to his wife!

Boohiss on Hubby for spooking Sugar out of her cool hidey spot. She probably took off like a shot. LOL

His stubbornness cost us years of comfort and a lot of money. Our electric bill is SO much lower now. Gas bill, too, during the winter. That old house was eating us up.
