Many of these mandates offer exemptions for children under age 12 or for a medical reasons. I have not seen any requirement to provide proof of a medical exemption.

What is to stop a person from declaring he is medically exempt? And if I understand correctly, ADA and HIPPA rules do not allow the store employee to question what your medical condition is?

Any comments?

I have a friend and her family who all go unmasked and when stopped in stores etc. claim medical exception......the employees say nothing more after that.

You are 100% correct. You are seeing the absurdity of having the government try to enforce all kinds of laws and regulations that often directly undermine and contradict each other.

This actually reinforces my view that even something as simple as a “public accommodation” law is blatantly unconstitutional.

Even here in people’s republic of Washington State a claim of medical condition is a free pass.
