White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany may have resumed regularly scheduled press briefings, but ABC News correspondent Jon Karl argued Saturday that she's not conducting them the right way.
Karl, who leads the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA), penned an op-ed in which he accused McEnany of giving partisan monologues and "denying reality" during press briefings.
"The job is to inform the public: to be an intermediary between the president and a press corps the public relies on for information ... Denying reality and using the White House podium for purely political purposes is a violation of public trust," he wrote in The Washington Post.
He added: "Briefings under the current press secretary rarely last 30 minutes -- which is short by traditional standards -- but routinely include opening and closing messages that more closely resemble the monologues of a partisan political talk show than a public officials briefing."

In one particular crying jag, Karl is offended that she implied they didnt care about recent black child shootings. In reality, she took questions from about 10 or 15 reporters. Every single one asked a variation of the same question: Trumps support of the Confederate flag and the tweet about Bubba Smollett. They then proceeded to be offended when she pointed out their lack of curiosity of other, more pressing news stories, and complained she didnt give them more time...
Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is the closest thing we’ll get to reality. Once the information she gives out is passed thru the filter of the lying MSM and shoveled into the waiting noggins of the public sheeple...it’s no where near reality.
Wouldn’t using ABC ‘News’ for purely political purposes be a violation of public trust?
I thought we are all entitled to our own reality.
Karl, this is real easy, run for President, get elected to be President then you can have your press conferences any way you seem fit. Until them STFU.
Define “reality”. Not one liberal in ten could do it in a comprehensible or coherent manner.
But man, can they ever act offended when called to account on what reality is.
“Orange man bad”, everything else proceeds from that starting point.
She’s fighting back against media that isn’t interested in information but only looking to push their ‘gotcha’ questions.
So stick it where the sin don’t shine, Karl, you presstitutes started this.
She’s trying to instruct them how to be, “a press corps the public relies on for information”.
From my own, personal, experience, this is a lost cause. These clowns are “ignorant” in the sense that they are not going to listen to anything she says - ever.
She is only propping up their pathetic ratings, and this kind of interaction cannot be good for her.
The FCC should reclaim VHF and FedGov should FORCE the operation of PBS transmitters to carry a new “Voice of America” to Americans, to make up for the lack of a Free Press.
Point remains: if you watch news from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, you are wasting your time.
ABC enemdia a propaganda arm of radical leftists.
“”The job is to inform the public:.....”
Which leads to what all America is complaining about. The MSM is failing to do so - they have become a propaganda tool for the democratic socialists.

(1) Fauci intentionally positions himself to exit last.
(2) ABC’s Jonathan Karl salutes Fauci.

That's exactly why we admire and support her.

“””Jon Karl says: “The job is to inform the public: to be an intermediary between the president and a press corps the public relies on for information ..”””
Kayleigh gets an A+ for doing this job.
The media gets an F- for their failure to listen.
Does anyone else see the irony in the press complaining that someone else is violating the public trust?
First, the public has learned not to rely on the press corps for information. Second, if the press secretary ought not be using her position for political purposes neither should the press corps.
It is White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany's efforts to overcome the outlandish and persistent political attacks by the press corps that has caused this condition.
ABC News correspondent Jon Karl's advice to is simple, "shut up and eat your gruel." Kayleigh, for her part, stands toe to toe with these louts giving them back precisely what they deserve.
I suspect he’s rather fond of butt hurt.
And, of course, it is the press that gets to decide what reality is.
Cool.
When does a second rate news reporter tell the white House Press Secretary what to say and how to answer questions. This clown is trying to be another Acosta.
Yes Kayliegh, Jon Boy wants you to just comply with the inane and repetitive questions that are always posed in a fashion to hurt POTUS!
How dare you ask Jon Boy questions and tell him how to do his job?
Jon Boy has Freedom of the Press...And, you must obey him!
You big meanie; Jon Boy wants his after-presser participation medal and his healthy snack now!
