CNN anchor Don Lemon made the claim that Jesus Christ was "not perfect," which Pastor Robert Jeffress said "makes him and his network the uncontested champions of Fake News."
"Jesus Christ, if that's who you believe in, Jesus Christ, admittedly was not perfect when he was here on this earth," Lemon told his colleague Chris Cuomo during "CNN Tonight with Don Lemon" on Monday. "So why are we deifying the founders of this country, many of whom owned slaves?"

If it’s the American Left: obviously they’ll want abortion, transgenderism and homosexuality to be expressly approved of for their vision of perfection to be reached.
Of course; they’ve spent the last half century trying to separate the Son from the Father (who made His views perfectly clear).

Jesus had no female disciples, no Hispanics ,no asians and probably no blacks. Not a single Muslim or transgender person. Jesus used masculine words to describe God. Jesus believed in marriage between a man and a woman. Jesus was bossy to women at wells and made them fetch water. Jesus cavorted with sinners. And don’t get me started on Paul who loved slaves, whom jesus chose to bring message to non Jews.

So-called “Modernism” what been stealthily sneaking in to congregations all across the land well before 1922 when H.E. Fosdick overplayed their hand with a sermon titled, IIRC, “Shall the Fundamentalist Win?”
No doubt Fosdick had peppered his prior sermons with Modernist distortions before that, and probably got fellow travelers into key positions in the congregation he’d been pastoring, but as the congregation fired him for giving the sermon he obviously overestimated the value of his preparing them to just accept the heresies of Modernism.
As a result people all across the land became aware of what the Modernists were teaching with the result being well justified splits everywhere as believers sought to separate themselves from error and those with itchy ears went where they could scratch.
The left has to denigrate Jesus to justify themselves.
That must mean they have a guilty conscience.
Which surprises me as I didn’t think they had any.

That is why the perfect lamb of god (Jesus) is qualified to redeem us, pay our sin debt, atone for us. If he is not perfect, then none of is saved and we are all destined for the lake of fire.
Taking ALL of our sins, shame and sicknesses upon Him, willingly giving His life and going to hell so that we could spend all of eternity with Him and our Father in Heaven. Even that's not enough.

As believers, we can understand this. But we can't fully appreciate what Jesus has done for us until we meet Him ... Only then will we know, and we'll cast our crowns at his feet.

Our Saviour said that, for every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account in the day of judgment; how much more shall they be required to answer for every evil, false, slanderous, blasphemous word they have spoken!

He was not "bossy" to women.
Paul may have loved individual slaves but I seriously doubt he was a fan of slavery as your post suggests.
The appeal of Christianity in the Roman Empire in the 1st c was an appeal to all regardless of their position in life. It was the one area in the Empire where all were equal in their faith in Christ.

Obviously hell is where he’s headed currently. Unfortunately he gave up God and he’s living a cursed lifestyle for the insatiable lust he craves.....and I doubt he now even recognizes God’s dealing with him in his past.

“Modernism” isn’t quite the same as what I’m describing, though it is related; Christians who accept the concept of the Trinity can’t separate the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, for example, from Jesus Christ - because He is the same God who did that.
Modernism was more about changing Christian morality to accommodate a post-Christian world.
The Left eventually HAD to begin publicly blaspheming Jesus Christ. Our Lord is in direct opposition to the supremacy of the State. Of course they would tell lies about the perfect God-Man.
In fact, he did have female disciples, his own mother among them. There were no female apostles, though.
