That and more is what happened when NY tried this. I think they had to shut it down. Also, in some other state, which I don't remember, this was tried and those who filed reports were publicly exposed when the data base was hacked and were worrying about reprisal.

If I recall, that wasn’t a hack. It was a public record’s release. Yep, almost everything that gets written down by a government is a public record. Florida, for example, publishes all arrests. That’s why “Florida man” is so famous.
