Very little info on the man- my best guess is R.O.P sudden jihad syndrome. Of course, could be Marxists or just some Ken really p.o. that Mass was about to start.

There was a “high-speed chase” so maybe the church just happened to be in the way and wasn’t an intended target.

Then you have the fire at the San Gabriel mission. If these attacks on our Christian institutions ramp up then it’s commie season. No bag limit.

More info. This was a terrorist attack:

A man threw some type of incendiary device into Queen of Peace Catholic Church off State Road 200 on Saturday. People inside were setting up for Mass at the time, but no one was injured.

A suspect was apprehended in the 5900 block of South Pine Avenue. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said the man is being interviewed and the investigation is ongoing. The FBI, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement have joined local officials in that investigation.

About 7:30 a.m. Saturday, a man drove up in a minivan and crashed through the front doors of the church, 6455 SW SR 200. He got out, threw some type of device into the main area of the building, and a fire started, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Marion County Fire Rescue said it received the call at 7:35 a.m. and was on scene five minutes later. The fire was under control by 7:47 a.m. Photos provided by the Sheriff’s Office show extensive damage inside the church building.

Calls to 911 alerted law enforcement to what had happened. Deputies were near the church and quickly spotted a vehicle that matched the descriptions that callers had provided.

The Sheriff’s Office said deputies followed the vehicle and forced it to stop. The driver, whose name had not been released as of 11:30 a.m. Saturday, surrendered without incident.

At 11:45 a.m., firefighters were ventilating the upper reaches of Queen of Peace to make sure all the smoke dissipates.

Jennifer Drow, a spokeswoman for the Diocese of Orlando, said they are praying for all involved and are thankful that no one was injured.

At least it was Saturday morning rather than any other day or time. Central Florida Catholic parishes are jam-packed on Saturday evening, Sunday all day, and often weekday morning or evening, depending on the schedule ... but Saturday morning often has no liturgy unless it’s the First Saturday.

Maybe it was a free-birth-control zealot gone bonkers over the Supreme Court ruling.

Wait. He crashed the car into the church and STILL led the police on a high speed chase???

Carp. Am I going to have to read the whole article?

I don't have time for this. I have a hummingbird feeder to watch and beer to drink.

How much violence are the American People willing to tolerate?

We'll find out if--in the very unlikely possibility--President Trump should not be re-elected--because, in such a horrifying scenario, America would descend into a chaos of hatred, violence, and anarchy unimaginable to the rational mind. Nazi Germany, Mao's China, and Stalin's USSR come immediately to mind.

I checked Twitter, just to see if reported, or any info, there.

One person said it’s Antifa, and that they’ve been setting church fires.

I haven’t seen/heard anything reported (on Fox or OANN) about that. Has anyone, here heard that?

Another asked where FoxNexs, OANN, Tucker were, on this.

Okay....here are the three church fires, since yesterday...

Ocala, Florida

Southern California
San Gabriel Mission

Limestone County, AL

No idea if they’re somehow related.

Sad, nonetheless.

The odds of this making the national news are close to zero. If it was a mosque, black church, or gay bar, it would be headline news nationwide.

Here is a picture of the Antifa scumbag that told police he intentionally set it on fire, and enjoyed watching it burn with parishioners inside.  I guess he was hoping to kill as many as possibe?

This scumbag is either incredibly stupid or he knows the charges will be dropped like in Portland.  Although he is about to learn Ocala, Florida does not play around.

Steven Anthony Shields, 24, allegedly crashed his vehicle through the front doors of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala and then set a fire in the building's foyer area, according to the sheriff's office.
