When are the police going to just get up and walk out?A paycheck and pension are strong incentives.

They should turn it into the “City of Hoses”.

When it comes to RIOT control the Police need to be given an ultimatum. “LEAD, FOLLOW, OR GET OUT OF OUR WAY and let us handle it the OLD way!”
To: JustaCowgirl
From the video that I saw, the driver was already clear of the mob before firing gunshots into the air as he drove away.

When are the police going to just get up and walk out? That is what I have been asking myself.
The ones that are left truly want to protect and defend.
They and their family knows that when they go to work they may not ever go home. Family members of the police live with that anxiety every single day.
It will happen when that person realizes they need to go and defend their homes and families because they are not backed by anyone any longer?
It is coming and I know without a doubt that this is what the plan has been all along. The populace is so brainwashed that they will think it a good idea to get rid of the police because maybe then the fascists will love them and stop destroying everything and get along with the community. Sing songs and have picnics together. Pfft
Fascists always want to get rid of the local police because they stand in the way of getting to us. Get rid of the police and the fascists will start going door to door for their target(s).
We sent military in after the Rodney King rioting but we can't do it here? What's up with that? The president could do it and he doesn't. Why is that? Ask yourself (not you personally)that question and if you say he's being held hostage or he's waiting on Q and the indictments then you answered that wrong and you need to stop being in denial. You are dead brained and dead weight at this point and I feel sorry for your innocent family that think you will be there for them.

better yet, deputize law abiding folks and allow the problem to be dealt with?

Cops as a group tend to lean rightward. Some of them have union representation. There are also civil service regulations. They can’t just go in and fire them all. The leftists want to defund the police in order to make the job dangerous and demoralizing enough that a critical mass of the existing policemen take themselves out of the picture by moving somewhere sane. Once done, the leftists can reconstruct the police departments and replace the fled LEOs with their own left wing paramilitary troops. When that’s in place, there will be PLENTY of police funding.

Wasn’t the guy firing into the air and driving away supposed to shout out “Yeeeee haaaa!”?

an interesting thing happened in Portland. The larpers decided to move their attacks from the Justice Building to the Federal Courthouse which they repeatedly tried to burn. That lasted about 3 days. The Feds sent in marshals. The marshalls arrested rioters and charged them with federal crimes - news of which spread like wildfire. The rioters decided to move back to the Justice Building and leave the FC alone.
There’s a lesson there.
What the Portland folks need to do is surround the park and arrest anything that moves - that includes the food trucks and the persons raising the $1000/nite pizza runs (mostly seattle tho) Order mental evaluations for all of them.
Here’s the letter sent to the Speaker of the Oregon House :

The gun shots were for effect, in the air and after the car was free.
Vehicle license plate was clearly visible in the video so the driver will likely be arrested.
This looked and sounded like an intramural beef within the ranks of the protesters.

If a screaming group of anything’s besides children surrounds my car and tries to drag me out of it I will consider my life threatened. And those four words are all the police will get out of me after my attorney arrives. Better 12 jurors than 6 pall bearers. Even in Portlandia.

“However, it is doubtful the DA will bring charges.”
Nope. The Soros selected Stazi St.Louis DA is the REASON for the search warrant/seizures.

No worries.
Idiot Portlanders will continue to elect left politicians who enable violent Marxists on the streets of Portland, because, well, you know, they’re IDIOTS.

I am always armed where it is legal. Outside of my home it is a modest Glock 43 to slip in my pocket when going shopping in safe areas. If in an unsafe area it is a Glock 35 in the caliber of 40 Smith and Wesson. I carry such in a bag on my side. It has a green vidren laser and tactical light. Oddly I rarely carry the Glock 35 as I do not go to unsafe areas if at all possible.
If one avoids unsafe areas you will probably not get in a gunfight. The best gunfight is the one that does not happen.
