Ha! A cross breed between a zenbra and pony? Or an arizonian escaping the heat by moving to the coast? Either way...stay outta that dump till the ashes are shoveled out.

Xlnt analysis. Inherent nature of a certain percentage of mankind to destroy themselves?

I’m surprised they have not put electronic sensors on the highways for speeders.

Some cities tried that with “red light” cameras. The courts began tossing the cases since you could not be sure who was driving (and the fact that they changed the times for the yellow).

‘there were 127 souls on board’

I believe this is actually a nautical expression and refers to all humans aboard.

Understand that the biggest gang will move in. The moment the gangs are entrenched you will not be able to get them out. People will understand that if they talk they, or a family member will die. You see it in the black community every day in Chicago. You talk, we will kill your kid, if we can’t get you. The only thing stopping this is police. And they have lost control in many big cities.

That works fine for any traffic stop where the driver cooperates. Once the driver pulls a gun or starts to fight, what will the “Department of Transportation” people do?

They also used the term for a few airline crashes, most notably, the investigation into Chelsea "Sully" Sullenburger (the pilot responsible for the 'Miracle on the Hudson').

“Drag racing returns to Berkeley”. Maybe arm drop JJ Da BOSS will show up & race against the 405 bunch. That could be entertaining.

This is just virtue signaling. Peace officers and police officers get their authority from a few penal code sections that are very specific. If these transportation people are not cops/firefighters/medics they could not legally operate a vehicle with emergency lights. Further, refusing to stop for them would not be a crime. They also would not be allowed to carry guns, something that might come in handy when they stop that guy for a minor traffic violation who had his dead wife stuffed in the trunk.

Again, “should not have resulted in the murder of...”
We need to stop posting, linking, quoting, and reading ALL propaganda that claims the Floyd death as being motivated by racism, and jumping to the conclusion that it was a “Murder”.

I honestly do not see any way the cops can get a fair trial at this point.

.....picture this.... no more traffic enforcement police...
some jerk goes 75 MPH in a 45 MPH zone... gets pulled over
by a Dept. of Transportation enforcement officer [sic], of
course, riding his unicorn with a bag of fairy dust on it.
The driver of the vehicle then pulls out a gun and then....
go fill in the rest of this scenario.....

After a couple of times of some fat little old meter maid getting blown away after stopping a red light runner who happens to be driving a stolen car or has warrants, it won’t seem like such a good idea.

The idea could be to remove the ability of the person handing out traffic violations to enforce any other laws. That would make traffic stops, when they actually happened, safer. If the person handing out traffic violations could not bring any other charge but the traffic violation then somebody with warrants in a stolen car could just get the ticket, say thanks, I'll mail it to the actual owner, and drive away.

Notice that there is no need for the person handing out traffic violations to ask for ID, or registration, since just like a parking ticket they aren't relevant to the traffic violation, if traffic violations become like parking violations which are already often handled by a department other than the police.

“You talk, we will kill your kid, if we can’t get you. “

This sort of thing is going on even outside of the big cities. In my town, Cape Girardeau, MO, a sixteen-year old girl was shot and killed in front of at least half a dozen witnesses. Despite her mother’s plea, no one saw anything. The police had to turn the likely killer free.

In another case, an “after-prom” party was interrupted by something like 100 gunshots from at least 3 different guns. Happily no one was hit. Oddly, once again, no one saw anything.

If the “blue wall of silence” is a thing, then the black wall of silence is maybe a bigger thing.

I would be interested in your explanation as to how the courts identify who is required to answer for a violation without that information. And just what do they do when the traffic violation involves someone who is falling down drunk. Let them drive away and hope they don't kill someone?

This makes perfect sense, because everyone knows that those “routine traffic stops” never, ever, ever end violently. Let the utopian gender studies graduates handle them, sans weapons or backup.
