I think that path is going to be extremely limited and will require the illegals to go back and line up. The process could take years, even if given an expedited place. It would also get rid of the dopers, gangs, and worthless scoundrels. With the wait and having to return I would imagine that not many illegals will accept the offer...

I am actually hoping that the path will not require returning. If we suddenly remove that many productive people from the US our economy will surely suffer.

I would prefer no felonies, maybe one or two misdemeanors, but no drugs, English proficiency, high school graduate minimum, extra points for college and military service, pay all the taxes due -- even for under-the-table jobs, and no illegal voting.

This is a much narrower gate than you think, but we have been aborting enough citizens that we need someone to pick up the slack in tax paying.
