It's unbelievable what we ask of our soldiers today. I dont ask much of them at all.
By the time that George W. Bush left office the U.S. military campaign in Afghanistan was already longer than our involvement in World Wars I and II combined ... and that retarded baboon left the White House almost TWELVE YEARS AGO. Every prick in Congress and the White House back then should have had at least a half-dozen family members drafted and sent to both Afghanistan and Iraq.

That is pretty amazing (and not in a good way) when you think about it in those terms. I’m a pretty big hawk on military matters, but for many, many years I have failed to understand how Afghanistan presents enough of a threat to us that we need to maintain thousands of troops there conducting regular combat missions. Surveil the living crap out of that country for sure, punish the living daylights out of them if any additional attacks come from there, but spending such vast sums of blood and treasure, and inflicting the kind of horror on our own people that being in a war does, for that length of time is the height of stupidity and immorality. We should have left by the end of Bush’s first term.
